2008 Financial Statements
The A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. ended 2008 slightly in the red by about $200.00 partly due to the expansion of services offered by the Foundation. The Ohio State Tax Return and the Federal 990 Tax Return give full financial details. The Federal return contains a statement of purpose with lists of accomplishments.

A grant from the Tony Steward Foundation paid for the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir to travel to North Carolina, where the Choir toured with their message of hope for children with cancer. The Choir performed at the Victory Junction Gang Camp during cancer week, the Wigs for Kids Cleveland Zoo Walk, and at the usual local churches, an award dinner, festivals, baseball games, and American Cancer Society Relays for Life.

Cancer Answers was a new program begun this year, providing direct support to cancer patients in treatment. Other projects begun in 2008 include: animating Life Maxx characters for a weekly cartoon show and preparing a third book of poetry and creative expressions for publication.

2007 Financial Statement
The Annual Financial Statement for 2007 of the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. shows how the organization's efforts to provide resources for cancer survivors are growing. This year's financial statement reflects the significant income and expenses of an active, growing organization. The expenses are the delightful result of a marked increase in the publication of multimedia products.

In 2007 a new comic book and comic book concept was introduced. The LIFE MAXX, CHEMO GIRL, and related characters™ tell the story of a cancer survivor who is also a super hero. Of the two new music CDs released, one was professionally produced and packaged, thanks to the support of Denise DeBartolo-York. This was the year web sites were launched for LIFE MAXX and the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc., which includes a special section for the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir to highlight their activities.

The R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir held to a demanding schedule of appearances and performances, reaching audiences at churches, shopping centers, racetracks, community festivals, and American Cancer Society Relays for Life. The Choir participated in fundraising activities for the cancer support agencies of Wigs for Kids, Silver Lining Cancer Fund, American Cancer Society, and the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
